Outer Space Classroom Decor- Alphabet Posters

Well if you missed the news, I’m switching grading levels! Next year I will be teaching first grade. Trust me, I was completely shocked but I am so excited for this move! If you want to read more about my reaction to the news, you can click here. But if you’re all caught up, let’s talk about my absolute favorite part about having my own classroom: DECOR! I am so obsessed with creating a fun, calm, and inviting learning space. Not only do I want it to be beautiful and exciting for my students, but I NEED it for my own mental health and sanity. I cannot work in a room that does not light my soul on fire. Let me also say that I spend money on my classroom because I want to but that does not mean YOU have to. Don’t let ANYONE room shame you.

Even though I spend my own money creating the space that I want, I still make a LOT of my own decor. Which means that I am here to share my decor with you! I understand how hard is it to come out of college and have all these ideas of how you want your room to look. I know it’s really hard to see all the “Instagram” or “Pinterest Teachers” and think about how you want your room to be like that. And it will eventually. But for now, we hustle our butt off and make our own stuff. And I’m here to help!

Outer Space Classroom Decor Theme

I did not have a theme or color scheme last year. I knew that I didn’t want to be overly colorful (like a rainbow) because that’s just not me. But this year, since I have a fresh start, I decided I’m going for it! I am shooting for the stars in first grade; therefore, I am going with an outer space classroom theme and I am PUMPED!

Outer Space Classroom Decor- Alphabet (Script and Cursive)

The first part of my outer space classroom theme is to start with the basics. Basics start with the alphabet. So I present to you: the Outer Space Classroom Decor- Alphabet (Script and Cursive). This set is awesome because I created a set for lower and upper elementary school. I wanted to create a cursive set just in case I move to 3rd grade in the future. I also know that some teachers prefer not to have pictures in their alphabet posters so there are two options of each font to choose from! This year I am going to use the script option without pictures. Comment below what set you want to use in your classroom!
